The whole day island hopping tour we booked included a buffet lunch in one of the Phi Phi Islands. Lunch itself wasn’t too interesting but super filling. And I cannot get over the deliciousness of their watermelons. Their soup was also good but mainly because I am obsessed with nori, LOL.

After stuffing ourselves full, we decided to walk around the island. The restaurant was also getting too full for our liking so it was a perfect way to escape all the noise. I am all for cultural diversity but families and friends speaking different languages in loud volumes – I tell you, it gets crazy.

Right outside the restaurant, we saw baskets of fake fruits and vegetables on display. They look so real on photos, though. Just a few steps away from the restaurant, we saw a vendor peddling real fruits. Their mangoes are humongous!

The island has several hotels in it and the streets actually look like that of actual villages. We saw a couple of pools but they are for the hotel guests’ use only.

A lot of souvenir items are available in the island. This neon green tank caught my eye but being the frugal me, I held myself back because I know I could find the same stuff at a cheaper price off the island. Most of the stores do not tolerate photography but I git to squeeze in a couple of shots before I got shooed away by a very agitated seller. LOL. Calm yo tits!

After about 15 minutes of walking, we arrived at the far end of the island where we  got to have an awesome view of the surrounding islands. A handful of boats were docked in that area and it just looked so picturesque with mountains and the ocean as a backdrop. The photos do not do the view any justice, mainly because I was just using a camera phone.

I also found a cute kitten lounging around the benches and I just couldn’t pass up a photo-op. Thailand has lots of chubby cats all around and this was just the start of me harassing a bunch of them. Soon after taking pictures with the cat, we made our way back to where we had lunch and hopped on our boat off to another island.

Happy New Year, everyone! 🙂 I hope you had a grand time during the holiday, however way you spent it. As for me, I went home and spent two full weeks with my family. It was two weeks filled with bonding, movies, and a lot of food.

The new year gives us a chance to start anew. Hence, me trying to revive my blog… AGAIN! LOL

I plan to do weekly recaps by showing you pictures of how my day went. It might get boring when work gets busy but I will try to stick with it as much as I can. So here goes! 🙂

January 1: Welcomed the New Year with a simple feast shared with my family. I spent all day at home playing with the pets, watching movies with my folks and feeding relatives that come over. I also decided to quit soda (yes, again!). And may I just say that all our pets are so lambing! Except for Uno who’s such a total bitch, of course.

January 2: Decided to finally get a driver’s learner’s permit. I knew I needed some pictures taken so I prettified myself up just to be disappointed with the photo quality LOL. It was so damn low-res haha! Went on a road trip to eat some (or maybe lots) of barbecue and take pictures of the sunset by the beach. Too bad Mama was not able to join us coz she was still stuck at work.

January 3: My Ilocos trip comes to an end. Before heading back to Manila, I got my nails done because nail art is so damn cheap in the province! And look how pretty my nails are! Never mind the sausage fingers LOL. And a final parting shot of the town welcome sign as I was waiting for my bus to pick me up.

January 4: Back to Manila. My day was filled with sleep, hair colors and garlic breath LOL. Only shot I got to take was that of Rockwell from the bedroom window. image

January 5: Fixed my room and finally got to hang up my fairy lights. So pretty!!! My room smelled so clean and I slept so well that night. image

January 6: Back to reality, back to work. Which also means back to taking mirror pictures in the bathroom and elevators. I had to work overtime for a bit and was quite surprised to see the 11th floor hallway to be so empty. Seems like most of the people decided to start their year right and leave early. Good for them! 🙂image

January 7: I have a habit of overusing the newest shoes that I have (hence the picture of my feet). When I got to work, I realized that I shouldn’t be using those shoes that much because I initially bought them for choir performance purposes so I then changed into my trusty wedges. Wedges are also much easier to walk on and I needed to run some errands, so good decision after all. Left work early to have dinner with Vlad and Gian at Infinitea (Thanks for the treat Vlad!). And I finally got my pasalubong from Dubai. The stuffed dates and baklava are all so yummy. Thanks Denver! 🙂image

How did the first week of your 2014 go?

Gosh! It’s been over two months since my last blog post. I feel bad for neglecting my tiny cyberspace. But I’m trying to get back on the wagon now. 😉

So what happened, some may ask? Well… Life happened. LOL.

I got busy with work. Ugh. But I was also able to squeeze in a lot of travels, so yay me! I adopted a cat, who I am deeply in love with. I also auditioned and got into our office chorale. We had our first performance last Friday and we received positive comments and we are advancing to the next round. Which also means that we will be rehearsing everyday this week as the next performance is this Friday already. I also got a new phone – iPhone4S; another thing that keeps me up at night. LOL.

So there! That happened. For now, pictures, yes?

Went on a road trip to Subic. Visited the Zoobic Safari and watched movies in our hotel.

Had a blast in Boracay. I cannot believe it took me this long to visit the island!

I’m a sucker for DIY projects. So I transformed this out-of-style Angry Bird iPhone case into a rasta-inspired one. Cool, right?

Took a 4-day vacation to Coron. Had a lovely time!

The infamous Kayangan Lake. Postcard perfect.

Still from Coron. We saw a double rainbow on our way to the open sea.

My baby Uno giving me kitty kisses ❤

She loves hanging out with me in my room 🙂

Stayed in last Saturday night to give my body a rest and spend some time with my kitty
