Shooting into the sun is quite tricky – mainly because it’s overpowering. Shooting against the light drowns the subject, and you lose details. But whenever I see the sun bearing down, I am always tempted to break the rules and point my camera towards it. Why, you say? Because of LENS FLARES of course! Lens flares are love! I just love the ~drama~ it brings. Heh. 🙂

Plastic wastes floating with a bunch of jellyfish. A dead fish in the shores of Kota Kinabalu. These things would break the hearts of every nature lover. 😦

Me and my friends in front of Museo de Baler.

My cousins on top of a hill overlooking a rocky beach and with a lighthouse in the background.

My friend on Beta Way (a famous walkway in UP Diliman) during one of our “reminiscing-about-university-life-dates”.

My then-roommate during our island tour in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia.

A friend’s friend, when I tagged along with them on their Tagaytay picnic.

My friends on the last day of this year’s Hot Air Balloon Festival in Clark, Pampanga.

Me and my little sister on top of the famous rock formation in our town – “Kapurpurawan” (Burgos, Ilocos Norte)

I love jump shots! 🙂 I don’t know but maybe it’s the Asian in me that keeps wanting to have jump shots wherever I go. Well, jump shots and peace signs. LOL.

Most of the time though, my friends cannot capture me during my jump because they are not that familiar with my camera so I just settle with shooting them instead. I actually have a lot more jump shots in my photo library. A LOT, I tell you! 🙂

On a summer, I went back to my old university for a trip down memory lane. Most of the students were off on their summer break leaving the streets empty and barren.

“I remind myself that not everything is a sign, that some things simply are what they appear to be and should not be analyzed, deconstructed, or forced to bear the burden of metaphor, symbol, omen, or portent.”

“Don’t let the tall weeds cast a shadow on the beautiful flowers in your garden.”

On another occasion, I went back. This time, there were people everywhere – biking, playing football, or just simply lazing around. People watching is one of my favorite ways to pass the time.

Lovers’ rendezvous.

I created this customized mask for our company’s Christmas party themed “Masquerade Ball”. I did not want to go with the generic, straight-from-the-store mask so I decided to quickly whip up something specialized to wear.

I ran to the nearest craft store and bought a plain black mask, some glitters, that thing for the lining and peacock feathers. ET VOILA! After a messy session with hot glue and glitters, here’s what I came up with. 🙂
